That would be Jack Kerouac discussing what the beat generation was and was not.
I think you fooled us. While Kerouac definitely wrote a poem or two, he was primarily known as a novelist for On The Road and Dharma Bums, among others. You say Beat poet, I say Lawrence Ferlinghetti or Allen Ginsberg.
